These printing blocks were used by the publishing companies to illustrate CCBCO lures in the pocket & full size catalogs, plus trade magazine ads. A wooden block had a metal plate tacked to it that exhibited a likeness of the intended lure. Sometimes the series number was stamped on the side of the wood to help identify the lure.
As newer printing processes evolved these old printer's blocks became obsolete. This particular block is for a Pikie lure.
