"CreekSpeak" - Show 'N Tell

Series:  #5700 Husky Dinger

Years Produced: 1939 – 1945

Length: 3 1/4" (body only)     Weight: 1 oz.

General Notes:  Shown in CCBCO catalog after WW II but not available. Certain catalogs were printed in quantity then used for several years until the supply was exhausted. A dated label was glued over the old date & a paper insert would list the latest prices & available lures. Therefore, some lures would be pictured but not offered anymore.
This is a rare bait in any color, especially in super condition. A heavy duty lure aimed at the Muskie & salt water market. Has the usual metal head plate, heavy hooks, dyed horsehair tail. The co. catalog stated “Trolls beautifully & still is not too large to cast w/ an ordinary pole”.

Description of Pictured Lure:
#5700 in Pikie. This design didn't allow the through-wire hardware seen on other Muskie size baits. Has "Dinger" gold stenciled on its back. Many of these large size baits were damaged by the teeth of bigger fish. Therefore, very few superior condition baits are available to the collecting fraternity.
