"CreekSpeak"
The following Creek Chub lures are examples from the "Classic" series beginning with the #100 Wiggler series through the #9600 Spinning Deepster series. You won't see any: tack eye examples, fly rod baits except in the "Classic" numbering system, plastic or metal baits, lures using replacement numbers or colors of the "New Era". I've included information for each series and data on the specific pictured bait, hopefully for your pleasure. See the "Catalog Colors By Lure" article to see a complete list of catalog colors for each classic series bait until c. 1960. Last Update: 09/24/03 |
| Length: Measured on the wood section(s) only. No lips or tail hooks are part of length although the Jointed Area on Jointed Baits is part of the measurement. | Weight: Measured within 1/10 oz. The weight might vary slightly on certain series that were produced for several decades. As an example, #2300 series Husky Pikies became thicker in later years. | Note: Although "Special" colors were produced on all series, the colors mentioned in the text are referring to Catalog Colors. |
